Over 100 PUK Elite players finished off 2019 with a high this past Sunday putting in 4 hours of hard work at Mebane Turf Fields. Players were put through their paces during a tactical session in the morning and were then split into groups for the afternoon position specific session. Defenders worked on their individual defending techniques, midfielders worked on ball movement and control, and forwards sharpened up their finishing in front of goal. Goalkeepers too got a great workout in facing shot after shot.
Coach Barrie Chamberlain was extremely happy with the effort shown by all players. "The coaches had a fantastic time working with our PUK Elite players today" said Chamberlain. "Players got to work some position specific sessions, focusing on the individual techniques needed to be successful in that position. The afternoon they took those techniques into games. We were very impressed with the level of ability and intensity of the players over the 4 hours. It was a great day."
Players will now get a rest one the next few weeks before they start up their spring season with their respective clubs. Stay tuned for what is next at Premier UK.
